Do I need an NDIS plan to use your services?
Yes, you need an approved NDIS plan with funding allocated for the
services you require. If you don't have an NDIS plan yet, we can
provide guidance on the application process. If you have a plan but
aren't sure if our services are covered, contact us and we'll review
your plan with you.
What types of NDIS plan management do you work with?
We work with all three types of NDIS plan management:
NDIA-managed: The NDIS manages your plan and pays
providers directly
Plan-managed: A plan manager handles the finances
on your behalf
Self-managed: You manage your own funding and pay
providers directly
Regardless of your management type, we can provide the support you
need.
Can I change providers to Empavia Care?
Absolutely! You have the right to choose your NDIS providers and can
change providers at any time. We'll make the transition as smooth as
possible, working with you to understand your current support
arrangements and how we can continue or improve upon them. Contact

be scheduled at times that work best for you, including evenings and
weekends depending on availability and your NDIS plan.
How do you ensure quality and safety?
Quality and safety are our top priorities. We:
Comply with all NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards
Maintain comprehensive policies and procedures
Conduct regular audits and reviews of our services
Provide ongoing training to all staff
Welcome feedback and complaints, which we use to continuously
improve

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a service?
We understand that plans can change. Please provide as much notice
as possible when you need to cancel or reschedule. Our cancellation
policy will be outlined in your service agreement. Generally, we ask
for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations to avoid cancellation
fees. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes to
your scheduled services.
How do you handle emergencies?
All our support workers are trained in emergency procedures and
first aid. We have clear protocols for managing emergencies and
maintaining contact with emergency services. Your support plan will
include emergency contact information and specific procedures
relevant to your needs. For life-threatening emergencies, always
call 000 first.
Pricing & Billing
Costs & Payment Information
Understanding pricing, invoicing, and payment options
How much do your services cost?
Our services are priced according to the NDIS Price Guide and
Support Catalogue. Costs vary depending on the type of support, time
of day (standard hours vs. evenings/weekends), and your specific
needs. We charge the NDIS-approved rates, so you can be confident
you're getting fair pricing. Contact us for a detailed quote based
on your specific support requirements.
Will I have any out-of-pocket expenses?
If your NDIS plan covers the services you require, you should not
have any out-of-pocket expenses as long as you have sufficient
funding in your plan. We'll work with you to ensure services are
delivered within your plan budget. If you're considering services
beyond your current plan, we'll discuss costs with you upfront.
How does billing and invoicing work?
Our billing process depends on your plan management type:
NDIA-managed: We claim directly from the NDIS -
you don't need to do anything
Plan-managed: We invoice your plan manager, who
processes payment
Self-managed: We provide you with invoices that
you can submit for reimbursement or pay directly
All invoices include detailed breakdowns of services provided,
dates, times, and NDIS support item numbers.
How often will I receive invoices?
We typically invoice on a fortnightly or monthly basis, depending on
your preference and plan management type. For self-managed
participants, we can work with you to establish an invoicing
schedule that suits your needs. All invoices are clear, detailed,
and easy to understand.
What happens if I run out of funding in my plan?
We monitor your plan funding regularly and will notify you well in
advance if you're approaching your budget limits. We can help you
prioritise services, explore options for additional funding if
circumstances have changed, or assist with your plan review. Our
goal is to ensure you receive the support you need without
unexpected interruptions.
